just installed cai and getting poor idle smelly exhaust and a little smoke from exhaust.

the pictures are what i have been running for a while now w/ no problems. Its a pro m 77 mm maf calibrated for 24# injectors.I have 19# injectors but it runs fine.I am pretty sure there is no chip in the computer.when i installed the cai i was forced to use the stock maf housing but still used the same maf i've been using. Is the problem using the maf for 24# and the housing for 19#?any help appreciated

First off you need the 24# injectors to go with the maf, second, you need the meter in the 77mm pro-m housing, not the stock housing. Basically you would be better off with the stock stuff, until you get the 24's, and why did you have to use the stock housing?

I had to use the stock housing because the current one has four bolt holes and the filter bolts to it.nowhere to clamp the tube on.I dont need 24# injectors yet w/ my setup so i guess i have to get an aftermarket maf housing for 19's?

The reason is runs like **** is because you have a MAF calibrated for 24# and you have 19#, its not too difficult.

Because the sesnor is not setup to use on a stock MAF housing. There is a reason for the sample tube in the 77m housing
