I think I have narrowed it down to these to choices. K&N or steeda. My ride is pretty much stock except for a mac pro-chamber,magna-flow catback and a few suspension upgrades. Any Opinions?

The $200 K&N CAI gives you 9hp. Not worth it for the money if you ask me. What I would do is get a K&N drop-in filter and save up for some PI heads if that's a 96-98 GT that you have.

I couldn't tell a differnce between a Drop-In K&N and the FIPK. Just cut your silencer a bit and add a K&N filter save the rest of your $$$.

I can't get it up......ok that didn't sound right.

AutumnOrangeGT, listen to someone with experience........like myself.

I have had three different setups on my car. K&N air filter w/o silencer, BBK CAI kit, and the K&N FIPK Gen.II kit. Out of the three, the K&N FIPK Gen.II wins over the other two hands down. Just my .02 cents.

Where do you justify the statement that 9rwhp isn't worth 200 dollars ? Most bolt-on modifications don't give that kind of power so if you can gain 9rwhp for 200 bucks, it's worth it in my opinion.

BTW, The person you're reffering to who gained 9rwhp with the K&N FIPK is Trinity_GT. Just thought I'de let everyone know who it is so you can PM or E-mail him and see how he likes his.

I'm with Dark Knight GT all the way on this. I'd pay $200 bucks for 9 HP all day, every day!!!!
Make sure you're getting the GEN 2 version of the K&N FIPK.
