So buy some 90* angle peices and some straight ones all in 3" - 3.5" and go to town cut as necesary and mock up a plate to bolt to the fenderwell put your K&N cone filter inside your fender and voila. Just get some 3 inch exhaust tubing from your local exhaust shop. Get them to give you a section that has a couple of bends in it and find some hosing from Canadian Tire or a similiar place. You should be able to make that work. If you can find mandrel bent stainless steel you can polish it up to near chrome like.
NO! Use plastic! it does not transfer heat like metal. It will keep your air charge cooler and as we all know cooler air = more power. But on the flip side it will never look like chrome but I supose you could paint it....
