CAI question..

I installed my BBK CAI lastnight. I when accellorate it whistles. Its not the normal "woosh" sound I have heard before. Is this normal or.... I was thinking I mabe had a pinched hose or something. Any thoughts??? Thanks.

It sounds like you have a leak. Check the clamps on your intake boots.

Most CAI kits will change the sound of the incoming air due to the path the air takes and the size of the inlet/filter.

Check for leaks then start getting used to the new sound.

comparing your stock and bbk cai, the stock one actually had a silencer on it, so the aftermarket one should be noticeable louder. i can hear mine suckin in air after 3k rpms. just double check all your connections.

The only thing I can hear is my off road h pipe and my 40 series flowmasters! I have a BBK in the fender too.

The only sound my CAI made was the sucking sound of money wasted on it.

i can hear a light whistle when i first hit the gas when the TB is breaking the vaccume... aside from that its just the air... use some soap and water around all the connections to see if there is a leak.
