CAI sound?

I am going to get a JLT CAI for my '06 GT. And I wanted to know if adding a CAI would make the car sound any different? My friend has an acura RSX and his CAI did make it sound pretty cool. Just wondering if it sounds good on our cars as well.

I have the Tunable Induction CAI and a tune and my car sounds deeper now...plus, you hear a "phwip" sound when you blip the throttle.

I'm loving the new sound, throttle response and power.

I've got the JLT II and the sound you get when you open the throttle up is kinda like the old 4barrel carbs when the secondaries open...nice growl.

Funny, I can't seem to hear the sound of my intake over my exhaust. Why woulod you want that sound loud? Especially on a V8?

I'm with you, tho. I remember when I first got the car, I loved that intake 'whistle'. All I hear now is the sweet rumble of my exhaust.

You will get more noise with a CAI. I just put in one from AFE and to my ears it sounds good. The factory airbox is designed to minimize noise.
