Iv seen people re-do their calipers and i though about painting mine red too to match my car. Make sure u do a good job of sanding and preping it otherwise it wont look good or last very long. Good idea if u have mach 1 calipers already tho, otherwise might as well just buy new ones if ya got some dough.

clean and degrease them well

and you can either buy the $15 caliper paint kit or get a $3 can of high temp engine paint

This is the $15 brush on Duplicolor kit, but i have used the $7 VHT caliper spray paint can as well with good results on my other Mustang

The Mach 1 calipers looked too plain

I did mine with the Duplicolor engine enamel - Ford red. Lots of masking, and a goodly amount of wire brushing, followed by plenty of Brake Kleen to prep the surface. Seems to be holding up pretty well, and I've been driving the car a LOT this summer.

I used high-temp engine paint as it was cheaper

I went with old ford blue as the car is red and I was kinda curious how the outcome would be. The paint has been on for quite some time.
