Caliper Slide Pin Lubrication

What is the best to use for this? Can I just use anti-seize?

We used motorcraft anti-seize..Its in a bottle and has a brush..Hope this helps..

i actually use a product from NAPA called "Syl-Glide". just a thin coating, it works great. thats the only lubrication i use for brakes.

I either use this stuff or Permatex Synthetic Brake Caliper Lube (you can either get it in a toothpaste tube or an accordion-style squeeze tube). That stuff is the bomb and I believe I've gotten it an NAPA as well.

I agree about getting anti-seize everywhere and looking bad. That stuff is amazing how well it clings to stuff, and usually the stuff you really don't want it to get on

there are boots over the slide pins on mine so why would you get the stuff all over the brakes?

Anti-sieze has a mysterious way of accidently getting on things. After assembly you shouldn't have a problem.

i always put a but of syl-glide on the backs of the pads where they ride against the caliper, basically any place where something touches something else.

i hate it when you use anti seize and it gets on your gloves and then gets on everything.

I used anti size it works fine but yes it gets on everything..But I have to take my rear brakes back apart damn caliper is sticking so got two new ones..

Thanks everybody for the advice I actually lubed them a while back. I used anti-seize and I just wanted to make sure that was ok. I agree anti-seize is very messy and kind of a hassle to work with. I use a lot of it though...
