Caliper Slide Pin Lubrication

i actually use a product from NAPA called "Syl-Glide". just a thin coating, it works great. thats the only lubrication i use for brakes.

I either use this stuff or Permatex Synthetic Brake Caliper Lube (you can either get it in a toothpaste tube or an accordion-style squeeze tube). That stuff is the bomb and I believe I've gotten it an NAPA as well.

I agree about getting anti-seize everywhere and looking bad. That stuff is amazing how well it clings to stuff, and usually the stuff you really don't want it to get on

i always put a but of syl-glide on the backs of the pads where they ride against the caliper, basically any place where something touches something else.

i hate it when you use anti seize and it gets on your gloves and then gets on everything.

Thanks everybody for the advice :nice: I actually lubed them a while back. I used anti-seize and I just wanted to make sure that was ok. I agree anti-seize is very messy and kind of a hassle to work with. I use a lot of it though...
