i decided to take off my cowl and give it a good spray but my wipers won't come off. i pulled the tab out bent the wiper arm back but no luck. after 15mins i just gave up.... any help????

wiggled, pulled, used leverage nothing works.

Are you trying to disconnect just the wiper blade from the arm or the whole wiper arm from the car?

Hold the tab out with a screw driver while you pull/pry the arm off - sometimes it slips back in...

okay.....stupid.


use a sawzall or a crow bar.

other than wiggling it real hard i have no advice you havent already tried.

It may take quite a bit of force to get off if they've never been off the car before. Unfortunately, I'm not sure you can get any penetrating oil of any sort in there, so it may just take a lot of pulling and shaking to get it off. I wouldn't wanna hit it with a torch because you may end up melting the cowl panel in the process.
