I have had my Steeda Sport springs for about 6 weeks and need to get an alignment. I finally have time to get the car out and take it over. They said they have to look at it fisrt because it mat sit too low for the lift. It is not that drastic of a drop.

Anyone else have a problem with that?

I want to take it there because they have a special this week for $59.95 (Computerized check & Printout of Castor, Camber and Toe alignment. Includes steering and suspension check). I thought this was a pretty good deal...

I bet he does. I have the same springs. I took it to get aligned and it is adjusted as far as it will go with the stock adjusters. Its not all that far off...but its still too much negative camber.I wore out a set of new front tires...found out the hard way. The tread will wear really bad on the inside. Im gonna order a set of CC plates next payday.

Is there a big difference in the different brands, call me crazy but how different could they be, its a friggin piece of metal with holes in it.. I hope I dont end up having to do the same with my stedda sports springs cuz $169 for steeda off ebay is rediculous for c/c plates. How much are the MM ones?

When you get teh MM's on nice and tight and don't have an clunky noises you will appreciate the fact taht you spent the extra buck. They retail $199 on their website. Ebay has them for 179-189 with free shipping. You can also go to www.maximummotorsports.com , find a local dealer, and ask if they will give them to you for $179. A dealer by me is going to give them to me for $179 when i get MM coilovers put on the front. Don't complain about the price. I'm looking at over 700 for front suspension! heh, good luck

Just a ? but I am going to work getting my suspension this winter for next year. Should I just get the springs and chamber plates at once then work on my shocks and so forth. I am most definently getting the sub-frames, since I installed the exhaust plus gears my whole back speaker cover and certain peices on my car rattle too much.

have it all (c/c's, springs, shocks/struts) put on at once. The stock dampers suck with aftermarket springs. I made that mistake and had to pay for install twice.

Dampers? Sorry, I'm new to the suspension deal so anything other than springs, shocks/struts, control arms and CC plates I'm lost. Are they the same thing Spring Isolaters?

Seems kind of spendy for a front end alignment. I jst had my 94 aligned and it was $45.95 and they gave me a printout of the specs. I think that's pretty common for most quality shops. You might want to check around and see what other shops are quoting and also check and see if they are familiar with lowered Mustangs. Calling a local Mustang performance shop would be a good place to seek advice for an alignment shop also.

Have to agree here. I just had my new BFG KDWs installed at a local Ford dealer and they did an alignment for $39, regular price $49.

Well, I have my appointment tomorrow so I will post an update. In addition, I will post the printout on my cardomain site in a few days.

Also, to answer Navi_Man and rjstaaf, I do not trust too many places with my car, so I will pay a little extra for a good job.

hasta manana....

i put CC plates on mine and needed an alignment. the stupid firestone shop near me said they cannot align it. they are like "we maxed out the camber and we cannot adjust it, your CC plates didnt help out at all" and im like FU MAN!
i met a guy who does alignments at another firestone and he says that they can do it with no problems and that the shop on my base is full-o-*****!

Paying more doesn't necessarily mean you are getting a better job. I too am very picky about where I take my car. Ask the tech that worked on my car, I was next to him throughout the mounting and balancing of the tires and the alignment.

Well, I can imagine. Some shops buy million dollar machines and hire $6/hour mechanics who don't know how to use them... Hence my trust issue.

I talked to one guy who says, "Car is too low, can't get it on the rack". I am asking myself, what if I had a Corvette or Ferrari (not that I would take a Ferrari to Firestone...). How would those cars get an alignment. The mechanic says no problems and we will see what happens...
