If you have tri-y's post some pics of the engine bay from the top to see engine alignment and from the bottom showing the clearance to the pitman arm.

Thanks.

Don't need pics to tell you I've got right about a quarter inch each side between the header tube and shock tower and the engine seems to sit a bit to the passenger side. The drivers side has a dent in it from the pitman arm and right turns, so clearance there is a negative. This with early 65 motor mounts.

Same story here, with my '66. Pitman arm dent and all.

You're welcome to drive over to Columbus and check for yourself, if you want.

how did you "dent" the pitman arm?? does this effect the quality of the arm doing its job?

dent...

So a dent will fix the probelem and give enough clearance...

mine are ceramic coated...will hitting it with a ball peen damage the coating...

dang that means I gotta pull them off.

No there talking about once you install them your pitman arm dents the header tube because of clearence. And yeah hiting them will mess up your ceramic coating. Iv heard you can slove them problem with install 66 or 67 motor mounts. It sits the engine higher in the bay.
