I recenly installed a custom-burned superchip on my 95GT. My question is about the red LED light on the chip- when I power up the car, the chip light comes on briefly, then goes off. Is this normal? Is it supposed to stay on all the time? The directions say nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

I've got a superchip...no light on mine. If your puter is back in the kick panel how would you see it?

It's not back in the kick panel yet...it is on the floor, all hooked up. That way, if there is a bad connection or problem that requires the chip to be re-burned, you don't have to go through hell to get the ECU back out of the kick panel. I installed it myself, and was curious about the LED light as a means to identify a good or bad connection.

It's a green SCT chip and yes, it is normal.
