Cam combo

Im getting my heads fully worked on with a ported lower and the new jegs upper intake the problem is the rocker arms on my car are 1.7 and i dont want to take them off what cam could I use and this car is a street/strp car so I want a strong pull any suggestions.

basically stock motor with basic bolt ons but building the motor up. Im keeping the stock compression, 302 bottom end, headers, x pipe, dumps, auto, 3.73 gears.

Something like the Comp Cams, XE270HR Part#35-349-8.

and this cam wouldnt cause the valve to hit the piston would it since it is the stock bottom end I dont want to notch the pistons or a custom cam.just something I can throw in.

I dont think you would have a problem with stock valve size.

Now if it were a 2.02 intake (whitch I dont know hwy you would put a 2.02 in the stock head),then I would be conserned,but not worried.Get were Im going?

ok because some guy told me that a stock engine can only have .512 lift I guess he didn't know what he was talking about and since the ratio difference the lift would come out to be .540 or something right. what is the stock ratio neway?

1.6 is stock ratio...

And peak lift doesnt mean anything,because the piston is near the bottom.It all has to do with the intake opening and closing (and the exhaust of course).
