I had a new motor put in a month ago and I bought SHM 2730 cams. They are fine and I bought them because I was told I couldn't get anything above a 500 lift with 10.5:1 compression. I have since found out differently and want to get some cams with a nasty idle. I already have comp cam valve springs. What cams/company would you guys suggest???

Go with an all motor cam. The VT all motor cams are the best from what I can tell.

Can you give me a number so you can give me your ideas on what I need for my setup? I had talked to a specific company a couple of weeks after my motor install and he told me he called someone from VT and was told because of my compression they didn't think I could go higher than a 500 lift I'd like to order them tomorrow!

I was thinking around $400 for my 2730s.

I hear some excellent things from VT. Stage one's or two's? I hear you might want to get headwork if you're going with stage twos.

Nope. We'd never say that, because these cams were designed for cars with additional compression. Phone # is in my sig if you want to discuss your specific application. Jim or I will be more than willing to answer any questions you may have.
