CAM HELP!!!!!!!

ok guys, please i need alllll the input i can get. i have a 1997 gt that i want to swap cams in. i dont want anything crazy but something better than stock. the only mods i have are bbk underdrive pulley's, off road x-pipe (no cats), 3.73 gears. what are the best options for me @ the best price??? OH! im looking for great sound as well as performance! thanks!

Hi Tech stage IIs. They sound great, make great power and you don't have to change the valve springs like all the other stage II cams unless you are going to rev higher then 6500rpm.

A friend of mine has been doing a lot of research on 4.6 2v cams lately, and he says that the general consensus is indeed Hi Tech stage II.

When my stang was non PI I had a set of Comp cams 274 cams. I loved them, defiantly sounded awesome. Now that I have PI heads they are just sitting in my house. I'll sell them cheap if your interested.

Wouldn't it be better to do heads and cams since the GT is non-PI?

HiTech's are PI cams, look into some NPI cams like 268H's
