Cam Question

Is the Crane PowerMax 2040 Camshaft the same as the E303 Camshaft.If not is the Crane 2040 a noticable sounding cam.

When you buy a camshaft just for the sound think of the negatives first: worse gas mileage, worse driveability, minimal power gains (if any) on a stock engine......plus the money to buy the damn thing.

Are you prepared to go through this just for a loping sound? My advice is buy a camshaft to work with other performance parts like cylinder heads for example, not just sound.

I know that!!!! , i'm not buying it for the sound. Either one will work with my combo ( edelbock RPM intake and heads ) i was just curious to know if they sounded the same or if there was a differance.

Calm down there buddy. Maybe make yourself more clear next time. The 2040 is the exact same as the Ford E-303, in fact Crane makes Ford's E-303.
