I have the Comp XE262H cams sitting in my livingroom and have a couple of questions. My car has 133K miles on it. I did get a suggestion to replace the valve stem seals. I'm going to get new valve springs for the swap but what else would anyone suggest I do? I just want to maintain reliability...not really build up the engine other than cams right now. What should I look for when I pull the valve covers as far as problem areas?

What made you decide to change the springs? I take it the mileage?

Check the condition of the cam chain tensioners. With that many miles, the tensioners are bound to be worn. The guides are made of plastic. Just a thought...I did not have to replace mine @ 50,000 miles but you could see the obvious wear and tear.

I would think maybe to replace the whole motor. Are you at the airport right now?

Huh???

I'm not having any problems by any means. I just want to do anything I should while I have the covers off.
