bottom line is I would give the kid more a chance with a Z28 then an SS provided both are stock. If you think that within 10rwhp isn't much a difference then you are kidding yourself. I can't wait to see the results of this race.

They are within 10 rwhp of each other on average.

Traction is the key! I ran a full bolt on 02 ss auto......only thing he didn't have was a stall! I have all the bolt on's and he ran12.98 @108 to my 13.02 @102.....my 60ft was 1.75 and his was 2.02......but the good thing was...I out R/T'ed him...... .06 to his .21 and beat him by a car! I was about 2-3 cars ahead of him thru the 1/8th and just past the 1/4 he flew by me! Those things have alot of top end! But the ole mustang auto gear ratio is killer compared to their cars! Race him at an 1/8th mile track!

LS1's have ran 11's with full bolt ons and have ran low 11's with cam and bolt ons. A buddy of mine with his 98 WS6 with full bolt ons, a stall, cam and still with stock 3.23's ran 11.4's with it.

In speed not quality, and I think the majority of people would agree, especially those who've owned F-body's, LS1 or not. Anyways, i've beaten my share, and plenty with my Capri when it still had the 5.0 and lotsa bolt on's. At that time my Capri was worth like 1000 and had about 2500 in mods, I got it with a rebuilt T5 and a crap motor but good overall car. I ran consistent mid to low 13's and have smoked my share of LS1's. That's me, we all have had different experiences. With my '99LE, I have'nt had the opportunity to race one yet, I stopped street racing when a friends best friend died two yrs ago, racing, like an idiot, and flipped his car, just once, not even a real bad wreck, but, it was a freakin s hitmaro, so the lumbar area, whatever it's called, failed and crushed in, crushing his head and killing him instantly. IMO, F-body's are garbage, they're to be purchase for at the track racing ONLY, with A ROLL CAGE. POS cars, period, IMHO, and I emphasise, IMHO!!! But I will try to convince as many as I possibly can!

Power isnt everything, which is why I own a nice german car also. Next year my girl is getting the badass Mazda6, so, I dunno. A friend just got a new B7 A4 Quattro S-trim, driving that car just...really lets you know why certain people own certain cars, and to be honest, LS1 or not, they're still some of the crappiest domestics made overall, and give american muscle cars a bad name the world over....IMHO. Honestly, driving that Audi, expensive or not, was just, nice, overall, so nice, everything feels perfect and feels and works better than you would think. I keep an open mind and like all different kinds of cars, for different reasons. No, I would'nt buy a Audi, because although I enjoy and respect the kind of things they do, I dont demand that kind of car. For that money, i'm going to get a V-8 Coupe, cause that's just me, heh, eeehhh, yup.

/me Rant over!!

Tell this guy on our board the times he ran were bull**** and the track must have been wrong as he ran 11.2's with cam and bolt ons.
http://www.easternfbody.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41112

Personal buddy ran 11.8S with his 02 Firehawk with just bolt ons and a cam before he dumped in a 402 stroker with a F1C w/ meth injection.

Another buddy was running 11.8's with bolt ons at Richmond Dragway so whether you believe me or not I could care less. Now you have anymore of your non backed up bull***** you want to throw my way?

Dude, ( to the godly LS1 friend guy) you're on stangnet, ok? Lotta people "in the know", if ya know...man oh man. This is not the kind of place where people are ignorant or closed minded in performance department. In fact the majority of the stang owners here have no problem admitting which chevy's/pontiac's are faster, stock. It's called, keeping the ego in check, and being an observant and well informed individual.

I can tell you're full of it just by how you posted it, just in years of experience using many different forums. Second, some of us own or have owned F-body's, so, we're not so easily fooled, and we know FIRST hand what they are, in their entirety. Just how you're acting I would /permaban your as.s in a heartbeat, have some respect. Nobody is being cocky or stupid, you just interpret it that way because you're (i'm assuming) damaged and/or inferior mind cannot process information, without your ego getting in the way and causing you to act like a complete, well, you know. I'll let you continue your immeasurably long and harrowing odyssey for ignorance.

I don't care about your gay boyfriends grandma's brother who owns a 5 second Camaro. Unless it's your car SU. I don't need to talk about other peoples cars, I can actually talk about my own thanks. And I have owned 2 Camaros and know there potential. I know they are fast.

So basically after showing you dont know what you are talking about or felt like being a dick, you come back with that?

By your own post everyone here needs to shut up because if they talk about their experiences about another car other than their own it doesnt matter right? BTW Owning a LS1 and a Cobra, I can talk about my cars. In fact who are you to tell me I can't talk about a LS1?

In addition I know the Mustang's competition and their capability so I can maybe educate people here who may not know or just pass on bull****. Now you are saying I shouldn't?

If it bothers you so much, maybe I should just leave and enjoy the other sites that I post on.
