I have a few buddies that think their lt1 camaros and firebirds can walk all over me. One is a 94 auto z28 with a catback, the other is a 97 firebird also auto completely stock. Both of them think that they will put several cars on me in a race, i just simply smurk at them and shake me head and let them think what they want but my point is does anyone else have friends or know ppl that think our GT's have no chance in hell against LT1's and that their car is GOD! Also have a buddy with a 00 ws6 with a claimed 400hp that can beat vettes, cobras, and even vipers, must of been the beers talkin that night. Also i plan on running these cars we just haven't had the chance to line it up yet.

What are the mods on the Ls1? They are no joke and respond really well compared to our little 2vs

and please settle it at the track and not the street

Forget the LS-1 he will kill you.

The LT-1 cars you can beat but it will be close. They have an advantage being a auto they are easier to drive and pull the same as a stock PI gt 5 speed

As far as I know the ls1's has a cam, possibly ported heads, catback, 3.73's, and maybe a midpipe. At one time he had 4.30's but he blew it apart and also broke his driveshaft at the track. His best time was 13.8 but he said he couldn't get traction until 3rd gear, i'm not doubting him having 400hp i'm doubting the fact that he could beat a viper and my honda 600rr which he claims would be a close race. The way i see it he is prolly running mid 12's may low 12's with dr's my bike runs in the mid to high 11's also the ls1 is a 6sp

What year is your CBR? If its newer more than likely its a low 11 second, high 10 second bike...

A head cam LS1 fbody is fast, hell "cam only" (doesn't count exhaust or intake) cars make 400-420whp... And I just barely hang with them. And don't even talk about sprayed LS1's...600tq@3000 rpm is no joke on just a 150 shot.

Well i really hate when people think that 400hp in there STI's, Srt-4s, and camaro Doorstops, will take newer street bikes.. I have a Kawi 636 with a K&N, Power commander.. and thats it.. I WALKED all over a Ls1 with some mods.. It was after he got his a** handed to him that he said my bike was hella fast.. my 636 is a mid to high 10's (with a professional rider of which i am not lol)

The LT-1, with a good driver might just take you... just tell them, "show me the better driver at the track". With the way police are crackin down, its so isnt worth tryin to beat someone who is running his mouth and trying to run'em on the street. Take my word for it.

Trust me this will be done at the track, I was pulled over a year and half ago for drag racing my old v6er, even though i was just following the two cars actually racing, lucky they did not have enough evidence and was dropped to a speeding ticket, so yea it will be a the track

Sucks about the ticket, but iam glad to hear that this will be at the track... Too many people get F-ed over for being dumb..

Its kinda like speeding where you know there is a cop.. I live in Seattle WA, and i drive I-5 everyday to work. I see anywhere from 3- 8 people pulled over EVERY SINGLE DAY.. I only drive 15miles on I-5 and they sit in the same spot everyday and naill people.. and they just dont get it..

Good luck and let us know how it goes either way!!!!

I was considering it before I got my bike, it was either get a bike, mod my car some more or save for a mach, the bike won partially due to seeing my brother ride his before i got mine and i wanted to keep the milage down on the stang a lil. Also girls love guys on bikes what can u say, also for the record about my car not being able to beat there's, i already ran an 95 auto z28 with full exhaust and lid and beat him by 2-3 cars from 50 to 120

Hey 04GTmustang.. I gotta say thoe, i love the color of my bike.. its the satin blue (its that off blue color) and that is tight that you beat a Cbr1000rr.. my friend was HELLA talkin sh** about my 636 and how his smaller cbr600rr would take me or be right there with me.. HA, that was a great night.. i beat his a** to the point i thought he was a car with one headlight...

Sad, but i am selling the 636 now.. i really want something else.. Like a house.. lol iam trying to move and i havent had any luck trying to sell it..

I've played around with a few 2000-2004 CBR600s and they would only pull out 2-3 car lengths and then id start reeling them in but Id have to let off before I would get to pass them do to my 4.10s, those are gone so I have way more top end pull.

This 93 is gonna be a joke I know Ill put 3-4 cars on him easily by 120, plus he not the best rider so it might be even more.

I think Id hang with you pretty good. Those bikes trap mid-high 120s. One thing Ive noticed is that a bike trapping 120 isn't the same as a car trapping 120. The reason I say this is my friend in his 03 Cobra trapped 124-126 in his Cobra and he would race bikes trapping 130-135 and he could beat them from a 60-120 roll. He wouldnt beat them bad but it would always be by 1-2 cars.

It pretty much comes down to horsepower to weight ratios. Back in the late 50's a lot of the fast times set at the tracks were with bikes, then chromoly and blowers came along and that was the end of the bike deal. I can't believe that there a many cars that would hang with todays crotch rockets. On the other hand, once you get beat by one you can turn the A/C on and listen to the stereo.
