My 99GT with bolt-ons and Comp 262ah's get 300k's per tank with mixed driving (street stop n'go and highway, full throttle sprints and normal acceleration). I havent tried to granny drive it through the whole tank yet.

VT stage 2's here..

My last tank with 4.10's was horrible. I had just gotten the 4.10's in and I couldn't stay out of the throttle and managed a whole 13.7mpg

But on this tank, i've stayed out of it for the most part and i'm almost to a half tank with 120miles

With the 3.73's and the same cammed/bolt-on/LT's setup I could get 18-19mpg in the city and 20-22mpg on the highway (cruising at 80mph)

I got 27 on the way to GA 100% highway @ 74ish (night...no A/C) . That was before the tune and the car was running very lean.

At night on the way back after the tune, I got 25MPG with mostly highway @ 74ish....but had to go through a few towns with readlights and stuff, so that screwed my #s.
And durring the day coming back I had to use the A/C and also got like 25MPG, but with 100% highway driving.

Reciently got 25MPG with no A/C (spring time I think) going to and from work shifting @ 2K. I have quite a few redlights too, and had to pass through our small town a total of around 4 times on that tank...but taking the VERY long (highway) way home when I first filled up, helped I think.

I dont understand how people are managing nearly 30mpg either. What method are you all using to measure the mpg?

I get 17-18 in my car even on the highway (no major mods other than 4.10s)

Write down the milage when I fill up (say 50,000)

Drive until a 1/4 tank and go to the same gas station and filling up as with the first time to the nearest 25 cents usually.

Take my reciept in the car and bust out the cell phone.
So no I have say 50,250 miles...minus that from what I had when I started and that gives me 250 miles traveled.
Then I take that and divide it by the gallons it took to fill up...say 9.875

Now 250/9.875= 25.31 MPG.

Same here. I have full intake and exhaust mods, 3.73's, plus a Xcal2 mail order tune and I manage around 20 if I'm lucky. Last tank I think I got 150 miles on a little more than 3/4 of a tank. It's awful. Thank God gas is going down now. $2.75 for 93 last time I checked.

I get 220-240 a tank at best.

I get 23-25 mpg in my car with mods in sig. This is a touch less then 3/4 highway and a very spirited +1/4. I havnt gotten less then 23 since ive owned the car in May even when I have like 1/2 highway and 1/2 spirited city.

But that's with shifting between 3000 and 4000 constantly
