just want to check with you guys before I dive into this, A local place is charging me $2200 for Trick flow (street ) cams, valve springs, installation and dyno tuning..Does this sound about right ?? This is within my budget range...

That's a ton of money for 15-20hp. You're looking at $100 per hp. Your call to make.

Cams and springs should run 700-800, install, 400-500, dynotune, 350-400. So yes, that is very high IMO.

Maybe a little better than 15-20HP...you could see 30 with the tune but that expense is pretty high. I've never advocated cam swaps in these cars unless you are a do it yourselfer. You'd be better off...and a lot happier...saving another 2 grand and having a supercharger installed.

hmm.i paid

$600 camms
$200 springs
$300 tune
____________

$1100 parts

they are charging $1000 for labor

hmm its a little high on the labor side but hell man if you got the cash and they asure there work go for it...

but bang for buck you can't beat forced induction no cam out there will give you more hp then a blower

i paid $3900 for a mongoose kit (sq-trim vortech 3.6pulley 8psi) from mph and i installed it myself on a saturday

371rwhp on the dyno and thats with a safe rich tune from tim @ mph
