camshaft position sensor...where is it?

hey guys....my dads 96 v6 is throwing the CEL due to this problem...where is it located?...thanks

I had this same problem, lol it sux, its under the ignition module. Just remove the ignition module and a heater hose and it is only held in by 2 screws its easy to do. When you get the new sensor if you get it at advanced auto parts its the wrong part. I know because i work there, and the computer gives you the wrong one. They do carry it but its a PDQ item so its special order but it would be there the same day if you order it early or if you dont it would be there at 12pm the next day. just get the part number, you can ask ford for it i dont really remember it.
