Mine used to powerbrake like a mofo...

Now a stock 2.3 Turbo on the other hand will make a crazy burnout.

I could never powerbrake with my A4LD.....with my foot hard on the brake, the revs would just stop about 2300 or so. With the T5 I can lose traction very easily in first, at least with my studded snows. Haven't tried it with my good tires, and haven't really beat on it yet at all (still breaking the clutch in). Speaking of which, 500 miles is about good for a new clutch/flywheel combo, right? I probably have 550 or so, I wanna beat on it already.

My clutch is going out, so I haven't tried to do a burnout lately. I could spin it all the way through first when the clutch was still good.

I was peeling out today with mine. Then again, my car weighs less than 2,000 lbs. Hee hee.

put the nose of the car aginst a good thick tree and floor it . Almost any car wil do a burnout if you treat it badly enough. It doesn't prove anything other than you don't car about ****ing up your car for no reason.

I tried it once.. My car made a huge cloud of smoke and I was happy... At least until I realized that the smoke was coming from the transmission or something lol. I had to turn off the engine for 5 minutes before the transmission would work again. I put in "N", floored it, then popped it into "1" (Don't care - engine and tranny all out now anyway). Still the tires didn't even chirp lol. It felt like it was spinning because the tranny was slipping LMAO

I burned out a couple of times but no see no point to it. Plus I revved it in neutral and slammed it to first and really don't want to mess my transmission up so will never do it that way again. I can powerbrake it though and make it happen.

Forgot to mention that I DO have a CAI and a FULL exhaust (longtube headers, no precat, hi-flow cat, flows) So not quite stock.

i can powerbrake my car like hell.. i saw a bunch of hondas trying to do it and i went up there and sat there for a bout 45 seconds just burning up the tire..i just put on new 225/60/15s on it and now i gotta get a new right rear 1 lol... i make all those hondas jealous though case they said that if its not a 5.0 then it couldnt hot the tires.. but i proved them wrong with all the smoke i put up.. i couldnt see nething besides my steering wheel....the i peeled out of the parking lot and left about a 25 foot long burnout because my tire was bald.. lol

A stock one will do that...mine always did (though I wouldn't do it quite that long...once you get them going though you can go forever).

My 93' 5-speed can't do a decent burnout for the life of it. I think even my grandma's Caravan puts it to shame.
