Don't you need to have a low IQ to even drive a trans am. Figures Mustangrl00 can't fix the problem by herself.

I have a 93 lincoln mark viii with a DOHC 4.6 and it does teh same exact thing. I put a new fuel filter and new plugs in 2 months for this started doing it so I eliminated them from my thoughts. Then I replaced the fuel pump with a 255 walbro. Replaced the injectors still did it. Replaced IAC (major PITA on my car) and EGR Valve (also major pita), still doing the same thing. If any of you guys figure something out let me know thanks. I think it could be my coil packs so I will try that next.

I would think any idiot would know to try and attempt to not let fuel drip on them.

most idiots would know that yeah... but you can never under estimate the sheer quantity of complete imbeciles on this planet.. they're everywhere..... and some of them post on here...... it never hurts to tell someone to be careful... besides, in today's society, if I'd recommended taking the fuel filter off and NOT warned about the fuel vs eye issues... if she was injured I could probably get sued under some ever decreasing spiral of insanity that has become the "system"

either way....

ditching the car is your choice, have fun with whatever you get next.
