I found these 2 parts laying loose in the bottom of the drivers door of my 1988 GT convertible while I was replacing the window motor. What are they and what do they attach to? The larger part has Ford part number E5AB 5421979AA. Thanks
I think the first pic is a clip that holds the door opening rod from the interior handle to the latch. I goes over the rod and then rotates 90 degrees.
The second could be the anti-theft shield in the attachment.
I think you are right on both. The cutaway diagram really helps. Like I said both were just laying on the bottom of the door so I didn't get the chance to see where they came from. Thanks!
