Their was one a few years ago on Corral...Modular Performance was doing studies and they lost hp and gained 20tq from a 2V stroker and gained 20rwhp and 40 rwtq from a 5.0 Big bore...I just reread the thread a few months ago...it was a good read.stangGT97 said:oh man, those are some really impressive numbers. We really need a direct stroker vs. BB dyno test to dispell some of the myths that float around. But I mean those gains really do speak for themselves

i would have to go search on Corral to find it...if i have time maybe later if i don't go out for a few beers.stangGT97 said:Any chance you could post up a link for all of us to read? Thats proof that strokers arent all they're cracked up to be..
svttech76 said:It's common sense.. I don't think drop top has to prove he is right on this one.. the modular bore size is WAY to small compared to the stroke..
Stroke is not the answer for our cars. Sure you can gain some from it but not like what you can with the old SBF's
big bore and FI is the way to go with a modular..

TGJ said:Do a search for Big Bore and threads started by User Johnny Langton on the modular depot boards. The BB using the stock heads/cams/ intake gained 29 RWHP and 43 RWTQ over a stock 2V 4.6L. I would post a link to the thread there that goes to the Corral thread but Stangnet won't allow that cross-post of threads.
