I am wondering if I can use a 85 distributor that is vaccume advance and modify it so i can lock out the timing and it wont advance? if not what distributor can i do this with thanks...
Are you using this on a FI set up? If so just pull thespout connector out and set timing were you want. If on a non-computer setup you can use any dist justmake sure it has steel gear and you can pull the wights and springs off and pin the advance not to move
Just leave vacuum off, that stays still until vacuum applied and pull the weights and spings off and drill a small hole through and either punch a small roll pin in or use a small bolt and nut (roll pin is best) to lock out advance.
