I just got some extended studs for my Prostars. Is there a way I can remove the stock studs and put my longer ones without removing the axle ?

I have ABS also ..

Thanks

I know you can manage to not press them in but using a lugnut and socket or whatever. But I'm more worried about them fitting in the hole with the ABS ring in the way, just behind.

Anybody else knows about this ?

I can get them out of the way with my lug wrench, but I don't know about the getting them in.

I just put long studs on mine without removing the axles. You dont have to remove the axle.

BTW the knurl size for my stock axles on my cobra was .615 !!!! this might help as everyone i delt with didnt know... Also use a dremel tool to hone out the holes a little, this will help pull the studs in a HELL of alot easier..

Been a few weeks since I posted that.

Studs are not in yet. How could you get them in/out in the back with the ABS there ?? Seems like it will never work

For the back, I bought the ARP studs, and for the front I got the Moroso which are suppose to have the "special" size for our cars.

I got morosos for the back. they tried to tell me the special size for our cars was .580 which was way to loose. Some brands shave one side of the knurl end to clear the ABS ring. Mine were not so i just aimed them into the holes and smacked em with a hammer to get them past the ABS ring. It just chipped the outer edge of the ring a little. No big deal the sensor is on the opposite side...
