Can i use an edel perfor with only 4 out of 5 upper intake bolts.

I found a sweet deal on an edel perfor but the only problem is that one of the upper intake bolt holes broke off. It's a clean break and it looks like i could jb it enuf to hold it on there then weld the rest. Now if it ends up not working can I run the intake na with out one of the upper bolts?

ez outs man... or take it to a machine shop and they will remove the bolt no problem. dont jb it... just do it right and have the piece of mind you did it right

agreed. dont be welding any of that stuff. its like $20 to get the hella coil thing (god that could be way wrong but its something like that i think) but i think the ez out things are the best. i have used my set at least 5 times (3 of them when i took out the engine) and it was worth every penny

heli-coil ;-) do a search on google or something if u want more info on ex outs of heli-coils... its out there in bulk

I don't think he's talking about a bolt broken off in the intake (no surprise, the Edelbrock upper has no threaded bolt holes). Sounds like one of the ears is broken off -- quite common on the Eddy intakes.

Aluminum is easy to weld, you can probably find a local shop to do it for you for less than $50.

Yah, it was one of the ears that broke. It's a clean break and the guy said $100 takes it.

Aluminum is easy to weld if you know what your doing, but its not for the beginner welder. It takes a lot of time and practice to get good at welding aluminum.

Talked to a guy that a machine shop recomended to me and he can fix it for $50. So i can get a performer for $150.

Hurry up and get it!! Before I do. LOL. Sounds like and easy enough fix and that is a hell of a deal.
