Seems like a beter fix than washer will it work?

Yes they fit no problem at all...I did it in my 83 mustang and again in my 87 LX rent a ball joint press from autozone or advance ...I didnt like the washer idea either...also make sure you get spacers for the front struts that slide inbetween the spindle and strut bolts or use 94-95 struts

whats this about spacers for the struts and spindles. Can you actually use 94-95 struts on foxs

Yes you can use newer struts on the the Fox cars. Most people use them when they lower a car because the travel is greater and you will not bottom out the sturts or shocks.

When you swap out to the SN style spindles, the standard Fox balljoint is too short... Most people use the SN ball joints to correct the issue.

Actually my Friend you have it backwards, people install Fox Struts on lowered SN95s to keep from Bottoming out. Travel is less, I have the 2001 Bullitts on my Car and I was able to regain the travel that was lost by using SN95 Spindles which have a lower mounting point and CC Plates where I was able to raise the top mounting point, thus I have no bottoming issues.
