Whats is the benefit of a variable rate coil spring.. Basically Im looking for a good spring to launch for drag racing.. But can be mild mannered on the street.

Is a variable rate coil spring what im looking for?

It will give you a softer ride under normal driving but as you enter a corner hard the spring compresses taking advantage of the coils that are stiffer thus preventing excess body roll.
