Can we completely get rid of body roll?

My car is lowered and has adjustable shocks im quite amazed at its performance but i did come from blown shocks. Im just curious if its possible to get rid of the body roll completely. I still have some but not as much as before. Just wondering if any other suspension mods help out?
 
think about it, if you had no body roll, your left and right side would have to compress the same amount , always, like a 1 link suspension. that would make handling worse. think weight transfer, as in a launch. you would have no weight transfer to cut a corner, i think you would just slide. you could always weld your shocks so they dont move...:D
 
don't weld your shocks, seriously though weight transfer is not desireable on side to side movement as the modified macpherson setup we are cursed with has little camber gain upon compression.

if you are transferring the weight on to one tire that tire will exceed it's friction ability and slide--the mustang understeer. limiting roll will decrease this effect and as an added bonus you will feel much more in control of the vehicle.

you can and should buy a beefy front sway bar and a cobra rear sway bar. if your wallet can take it a panhard bar is very nice as is a set of 18" wheels with some 35 series tires, and caster plates are crucial.

that is my front sway bar, and i must say that it is amazing. i have eibach pro kits, that sway bar, good struts, cc plates, panhard bar, 18" wheels with 35 series rubber and my body roll is extremely minimal. i compare my car(handling wise) to a 95-99 M3.

what EXACTLY are your suspension mods?

ok im wrong, i rethought it and i guess youre right, so solid suspension would be the best handling wise for track ala cart racing.
so with an independent rear, that would gain camber in compression, so a heavier swaybar would only be feasable to a limit and tuning the tension would be necessary for optimal performance? im asking cause i have no idea about suspension..
 
There is a point of diminishing returns since the larger the swaybar, the greater the reduction in suspension independence. Most guys that run in AI just have really high spring rates. These rates might be higher than most would run on a street car which is why there is a market for the larger swaybars. You can try offset some of that lost camber on turn in by adding more caster.

i'm not really following you here. as far as cart goes they use inboard mounted coilovers and run a short/long arm(sla) suspension. sla suspension gives the most camber gain on compression, think the upper arm shorter pulls the spindle inwards at the top creating camber. this is ideal for street cars as you can run a very mild initial camber setting to reduce tire wear.

as far as running a real big sway bar, it all depends on what you are doing. we all know that running a stiffer spring resists suspension compression thus limiting body roll. said stiff spring is not really disireable to run on a dd as comfort will be diminished. i prefer to run a softer spring and use a bigger sway bar. this will limit body roll and still maintain an acceptable ride. example would be a BMW 745li. they are equipped with a pair of hydraulically controlled sway bars that work with a ton of sensors to limit body roll. these vehicles come with relatively soft springs for plush ride, but put that big ol cruiser in a corner and you would swear you are driving a race car.
 
Stiff suspension works for cart cars also because of their insane amout of downforce from the wings, and the fact that they use really soft tires. The fact that your mustang has no downforce and street tires would make your car a drift car, without even trying.
