Can you adjust C4 side to side?

My transmission in my 67 fb is sitting too far towards the passenger side. Can you adjust the engine side to side and the transmission will follow? If so, how? thx... This was a 69 351w swap.

too far for what? I think that the tranny position is fixed in place by the crossmember. I guess you could enlarge the holes a bit. There should be more than enough room for the exhaust to go through, and with the engine slightly offset to the passenger side, there is more room for the mastercylinder to clear the valvecovers. I think that the third member in the rear might be offset some too. It would also help to balance the weight of the driver a bit too. Maybe others have an opinion.

I replaced my transmission mount and realized that the transmission mount did not sit in the middle of the crossmember, it sit too far towards the passenger side. The previous owner enlarged the holes in the crossmember. Since the transmission is attached to the engine, it makes me think that the engine needs to be adjusted slightly towards the drivers side.. Seems that there should be no reason to enlarge the holes on the crossmember, shouldn't the transmission fit in place where the original holes are?

I think you are right. the tranny should line up with the holes in the crossmember. I thought maybe you were worried about it for cosmetic reasons. Are the bolts in the engine mounts fully tightened? Maybe you could loosen the engine mounts a little and see if the engine can slide over just a bit. It would probably be a good idea to use a hoist to support the engine so it doesn't fall on you though. Is anything hitting the tranny ( like the headers)?

The header on the drivers side is hitting the transmission pan. Thats what prompted me to look at the transmission mount and notice the crack in my old mount. I replaced the mount with a new one and discovered that the transmission is off center.

Is the bell housing sitting flush with the engine block?

Yes, the bellhousing is tight.
