I want to get this small air horn from my work, it comes with to horn things and a small compresor. It comes with a relay, but I just want to take out my old horns and put the power wire on the + and ground the other side, will that work fine or do I have to hook up the relay? Me and my buddy hooked it up with some alligator clamps to a battery and it worked fine.

Using the relay is a good idea. I always ran a relay when I hooked up driving lights. If you don't the current pull is higher and will toast a fuse a lot quicker. Using a relay is more reliable and you will have fewer problems with them working. Just my opinion. Plus, maybe there is a reason that a lot of light kits or air horn kits come with relays  As far as a switch, you can use your factory horn button if you just disconnect your factory horns and run a wire from that connector to the relay.

Good luck with however you decide to wire them.

I ran an air horn that had a small compressor to feed it and just used the power wire for the horn and hooked it up to the compressor and it was fine. Then I ran my car into a boulder and ruined that party. lol
