I have a 1965 Mustang that I'm converting to Pony interior with fog lights. The loom I got is for a 1966 because the instrument gauges I got were out of a 1966, not a 1965. Evidently there is some difference in the 1965 GT and 1966 Std gauge package (some onternal resistor or something).

Anyway, I got the wires all labeles except for a few that I cannot locate on any of my wiring diagrams. Can someone help me out and help me ID the wires marked in BLUE? Also, if you have the time and expertise, can someone double check the labels in yellow for correctness?

Thanks a million!

Hey Poppy, my 65 has the Decor Interior options, (not factory GT) and I had the original "later" wiring installed by Ford for fog lamps and rally pac. The pig tails/bullet, three bullet connectors that I found taped up around the dash harnessing behind the instrument 5 gauge cluster were there for "the optional accessories". I think it is the same coloring code for the 66. 1965 diagrams illustrate white, #95 color code, is a ground for a 1 speed windshield wiper switch which runs and connects to the one speed wiper motor and is spliced to ground. The same is for a two speed wiper motor and 2 speed wiper switch, (which I have in the decor /GT group), white #58, and I think is spliced to #57, black and goes to ground on the dash. Your black/blue is #53, comes out directly from the light switch to your courtesy lights, (four courtesy lights)? Does this help a bit?
