Electrical 1993 Cobra Test Connector

Hey Folks,

I know there are a ton of great diagrams here, and trust me they have gotten me 95% of the way to swapping my 1993 Cobra engine into my 1966 mustang. I'm so close to finally being done.

The problem I have: When I got the Motor/Trans/Harness/ECC from the donor car, someone had cut off the Self Test Connector. The wires are still in the loom, and I need to run codes on my car now. I can find the pin out w/ wire colors for the 1991. I am aware that there are "significant" (at least in my mind enough to question any diagram not specific to 1993) changes in the wiring from 1991- 1993. And it's Clearly different here as well because all diagrams I can find reference a BK/W wire for signal ground and the only ones I have on that side of the loom run past the connector and down to the o2 sensors. So.....

1. Does anyone have a 1993 specific Pinout of the Test connect with wire colors?
2. Anyone with a 1993 5.0 can send me some pics with closeups of wire/colors to pins on the connector?

89 through 95 cars have a working Check Engine light. Watch it instead of using a test lamp.

Thanks jrichker,

I think this is a perfect illustration of the differences between the 93 and 91 and before. Above it shows EEC pin 46 as a BK/W wire, however the Pin 46 on my EEC is GRY/RED. When I follow it through from both the 91 and 93 diagrams, it does appear to be the same SIG RTN wire, however its clearly not Black/White at the Test Connector. Which leads me to question the other three. Also a few other connections that I may have taken for granted in early build stages

And BTW I've been staring at your diagram for a few days now so I REALLY appreciate your response. :nice:

Still need the 1993 specific pinout with these wires colors though.

Try these...

Ok, so here's what I can glean from all of this:

According to :
Complete computer, actuator & sensor wiring diagram for 91-93 Mass Air Mustangs
http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/engine/images/91-93_5.0_EEC_Wiring_Diagram.gif

Pin 46 on the EEC is actually Grey/Red at the Test Connector on 1993 and to me appears to be the same SIG RTN.
Pin 22 to the Fuel pump Relay is Light Blue/Orange on the 1993. And shows it going to Data link Connector.
Pin 17 on the EEC is actually Pink/Light Green at the Test Connector on 1993. And shows it going to the Data Link Connector

According to:

And your Diagram.

Pin 46 is Black White on 91 and before.
Pin 22 is Tan/Light Green on 91 and before..
Pin 17 is Tan on 91 and before.

So For 1993 Test Connector that to me means:

And @Saleen0679 ----- Thank you I can now stop!!!!

This is exactly what I was looking for.

I knew something was fishy....
