Can you tell if this is a Windsor or Cleveland

As the topic says, can you tell from the picture if this is a Windsor or Cleveland...

Looks like a clev to me. The valve covers have an extra bolt down thre that I can see.

Those are Cleveland heads so it is either a Cleveland or a Windsor with Cleveland heads. Does the thermostat go into the top of the block in front or into the intake.....if the block it is a Cleveland.

Since there looks to be no bypass hose by the upper radiator hose and the timing chain cover is part of the block...

It is a cleveland.....now for the fun.....I think it is in a 68 coupe.

sorry Nick, but that's a 69 or 70, you can tell by the hood, the latch suport and the location of the windshield washer reservoir. also, judging from the wiring that runs around the passenger side shock tower i'd say it is a 70 model. no idea whether or not it is coupe or fastback, but i'm gonna go coupe too, just because i'm partial i guess

My vote (though I am no expert) is Cleveland. The car is not a '65-'68. I'd guess '69.

The engine bay is too large for a '65-'66, and the windshield washer reservoir is mounted wrong for a '67-'68.

lol....well at least I know its a cleveland...I don't know anything about 69-70 engine bays...but it looked tighter than I thought it would be so I voted for the 68

Yup, Cleveland. The clues are bolt holes on the valve cover, the thermostat housing, the bracket bolt holes on the front of the head, and the unmistakable round ports on the intake.

I like that car. Can I please have it?

The seller is a well known parts dealer in Vancouver that admins some forums for Mustangs, Camaros and Grand Nationals. He's selling the Mustang to buy a Camaro. I've posted on all 3 of his forums and have received overwhelmingly positive comments.

I've edited and returned a number of the photo's with questions, including the motor pic showing what looks like some leprosy above the weatherstrip on the cowl. The documentation shown in the last few pictures in the off ebay link, show the car as originally being a different color but that's no big deal to me. I'm awaiting his replies later today. I've also asked for pictures of the undercarriage.

Now some more questions for y'all...

- Owner says it got a fresh 3.55 8.8" recently. Originally it was a 3.25. Did these come with an 8.8" or 9" rear end?
- If this is a solid car (not needing to be a 100 pointer) what would it be worth? Any ideas what similar cars sell for?

Originally it would have had a 9", I don't know why someone would swap the rear end on a car that already had a 9" to an 8.8"

Another way to tell the Cleveland's from the Windsor's is the angle of the exhaust side/face of the head (where the exhaust manifold meets the head). The Cleveland's are at like a 45 angle to vertical and the Windsor's are about vertical.

Easy way to tell if they're 4 bbl heads, look for the "4" cast into the head in the corner next to the valve cover. I can make out something there, just not if it's a "2" or a "4"
