10w-30 is the oil the haynes manual says to use in hot weather. But I doubt you are going to damage an engine using any major brand of oil regardless of weight. Out of all of my time browsing car forums I have never seen a case where an engine was destroyed or severly damaged because the wrong oil brand/weight was used. I am sure 10W-30 would be perfectly safe in my engine, but when it is 98*with 80% humidity outside and I am idling in the Mcdonalds drive through buying my fat ass lunch with the A/C going I feel safer with a bit heavier oil in the engine .
