Cant get off Hatch...Help

I tried to take the hatch off and i need to get it off tounight. There is a black wire running from the hatch to the body of the car and I dont have my manual at home...Please help

Hope you got it, but the wire is bolted down under the trim inside the car. It gave me a fit when I was removing my GT hatch from a car at the Pick a Part yard and it was like 5 minutes before closing!
