cant get other bolts off headers

cant get those damned motor lift bolts out. they wont budge. even with pb blaster. dont want to break them. any other suggestions? the other header bolts came out with little effort. another thing is on the passenger side header when i pulled out the bolts they were dry. on the driver side headers when i pulled out the bolts they were oily. do i have a leak on the driver side somewhere? what would cause that? valve or head gasket?

Since you have already tried the PB route, the next step is to apply heat. Use a propane, or like, hand held torch and slowly apply heat to it. Then try to loosen it.

My guess on the bolts is that you have a valve cover leak, but just a guess.

damn. i was hoping not to go there. guess there is no other way. and was so close to getting them off and now i have to go find a torch.

id prolly be much easier to get tem out if you pull the engine

How about the letting the engine get up to temp by letting it idle for a while ?before hitting it with a torch.Or slipping a pipe over the rachet or wrench for more leverage?

i used the warm engine route and it worked....
