cant get out of park

alright so i have a 2004 3.8 a/t pos that wont shift out of park i found the problem it was wire that went to a terminal behind the brake to read that the brake was compressed which allows you to put the car in gear. the new probelm is that the terminal was replaced but now it cant be put in gear


SO **** someone please help

Maybe the wire is still broken, or the switch on the brake pedal needs to be replaced.

take the console off and unhook it all from the shifter or pry it away with a big screwdriver
worked for me!
