Hey guys, I need some help from :SNSign:

When I'm driving on the highway and I go to pass somebody aggressively I'll downshift from 5th to 3rd. I'm doing 80 in 5th and I'll downshift to pass every once in a while. Quite a few times I've noticed that my car will "buck" when trying to pass. It feels almost like the engine isn't getting enough fuel and is shutting down.

Is this a common problem? Is it a TSB? Thanks in advance guys!

There is a TSB; ... I believe it has something to do with condensation building on/in the fuel line after a long drive. I'm sure someone here will quickly reply with the link that shows the issue. But, yes, there is a TSB.

Yeah, there is a tsb on it...can't remember it right now though. I had the same problem and it was fixed under warranty, I believe it was something to do with the fuel pump/module...air bubbles created during prolonged cruising.

the problem he describes is not the fuel pump TSB. the fuel pump TSB staters hesitation after a long cruise, like coming off the exit. not for hesitation while downshifting.

if it happens again, check to see if the TC light is flashing. sometimes the car senses too much power, and will temporarily shut down the engine. feels similar to hitting the rev limiter. does this sound like your problem? if so, you might want to shift to 4th instead of third to prevent this.

The last time that it happened was when I shifted into 4th gear (at 80mph). I'm bringing my car in tomorrow for the popping in the front suspension so I guess I'll talk to them about it.
