Gates open at 8 AM, racing starts at 9. Eliminations typically begin in early afternoon. You'll need to pay the one-time entry fee to the Car Club (five dollars) and sign up under the awning with the Ford Drag Team.

It's time to race. Who's in?

Great EJ. We have a pretty good chance for good weather, at this point.

Best of luck, wish I could be there.

I'm waiting for a new harmonic balancer to come in the before I can begin to tackle this:

Difficult to hear well, but from what I could hear, the noise was too slow to be the bottom end. Have you been running the thing hard? I thought you were on a racing moratorium!?

The blower is complaining in the video. Whipple reviewed it and didn't even want me to pull the blower off. Something is out of alignment (pulleys) and after starting the car without a belt the noise went away but the car has been under excessive vibration at idle and just as bad with the everything disconnected. Long story short, isolation leads to the balancer but we'll see what happens after that is replaced. I am somewhat relieved that it may not be the blower entirely, but hoping for the best when we replace the balancer. I was originally set on removing the blower to have it rebuilt, but the $185 balancer is quite a bit cheaper.

It's been getting worse over time, and that video is from a couple weeks ago after the blower was hot from the hour long drive (60mph cruise) home from Kidd Valley. Starting the car cold you can't hear the clicking until it gets warm, but I pulled into Arlington that night where a car show was still in progress and everyone looked it over while giving me some pointers.

Fortunately I only live down the street and limped it home, haven't driven it since. I haven't been so much as hard on the car the past year, my problem with racing is having traction tires and snapping something in the drive line again. Not having a tow vehicle of my own, I refuse to be a burden to someone like I was last time ... I used my silver bullet with the gracious help of the Fbody team (Mark, Ellis) so until I can get a better platform in place to be self sufficient (tow rig, stronger drive line) I'll just have to back out of racing the Cobra.
The money I need to invest into safety items for the times I would be running isn't worth it at this time unfortunately and running street tires isn't conducive to running consistently in a bracket race. I have just too much power for street tires and add in the manual transmission it makes it really tough.

A number of things financially have to happen before I can get out there again, but if things clear up I'll be out there ASAP.

That sucks Tyler. Did you try NOS fuel additive? My buddy said he put it in his car and it stopped making noise, the extra power fixed it for him. Now that we've solved that problem.. Is there TNT on friday?

A tow dolly would suit your needs: doesn't take up much room, doesn't require a heavy tow vehicle, plus it would be able to tow your 5 spd car without removing the driveshaft. The stronger driveline is a separate issue. Are you willing to switch to a live rear axle? If you are going to drag race, both items will be needed with all the power you are making.

He say`s still has stock IRS.http://videos.streetfire.net/video/VENOMOUS03COBRA-in-car-video-767-rwhp-727-rwtq_154458.htm
The car must have some sort of traction tires.

It is May now. PR will open at 4PM on Friday's hereafter, not in the mornings. This Friday is HS Drags.

Bremie will open at 3PM on Friday. That track is your best bet.
