It's not every single time, but about once every day or two, when I downshift into second and come to a stop, the tac just keeps on going down and the car stalls. I've also, sice getting the car, slways seen it go to 750 RPMs, then jump to 1k, then go back to 750 when idling, just keep tossing back and forth, dunno if thats normal or not.

Also for a few months it'll sometimes dip to around 400 RPM really quick then jump to 1250 for a second then go back to idling... it's just been in the past few weeks that it's been stalling completely.

I know nothing of the idle control... anyone able to isolate this pesky little problem?

The car turns over fine, but a few times it'll stall again right after I turn it over again.... then it'll be fine....

Weird.

Agreed ^^^^
I tried to clean mine, but it got worse. I had to 2 foot it to the dealer to get a new one. Then replaced it in the parking lot.

clean

I went the clean it route, has been good for almost 1 year now, worth a shot.
I shot carb cleaner thru it, then a little oil on the shaft towards the solenoid.

Just replace the IAC. Cleaning it may or may not fix the problem, and the IAC valve isnt that expensive in the first place.
