Here are the full details. I have an '85 mustang. 302, b303 cam, performer RPM, holley 600cfm carb, new battery, new alternator, new voltage regulator, new fuel filter, new fuel hose from the fuel filter to the fuel pump, and new gasket for the fuel pump.
The car started dying and not holding a charge about a month ago. The fuel pump started leaking the same time. I have a mechanical fuel pump, but could those problems be related?
When I put a full charge on the battery about 2 weeks ago, everything seemed fine. Now it's doing the same thing. leaking, not holding a charge, dying while driving. I'm glad I asked for the towing/roadside assistance package on my insurance, because I've been towed about 3 times now. could someone provide some input?
