has a salvage title but its got 92k on it and can pick it up for under $3000... aparently it had a small tree fall on the roof but everything has been fixxed

yea they said a small tree fell on it... i think it might be b/s.... because it was salvaged one year after the car was bought... and there is no way the small tree did $15k plus damnage to make it a salvage

Yeah makes you wonder. They should have saved the bill from the body shop and it would show all the work/parts/hours, etc. It might give you a better idea

Well the guy said i could give him $3200 cash for the car... so i was going to do it... but then felt unsure... so i just told him to let the ebay auction end and i would just bid... i won the car for $2865.... The body shop bills wont mean ****... the guy owns the body shop that did the work... i seriously couldnt tell that it had work done on it.... i was looking for tape lines and couldnt find them.... i have a feeling that the guy is going to try to get me to pay the 3200 for the car... he said if the auction went over 3200 i should just make the winning bid and give him 3200 and if it was under i still had to pay 3200.... and i told him i was going to just take my chances on the auction... so i guess we will see how it plays out...

I hate guys like this. He should have set a reserve, he can't make you pay more than the auction!!

If he owns the shop it may be a good thing. They do this all the time they get $15k to fix it when it really might not be that bad. They fix it for 5k and pocket 10k!!
