Car hesitates...

Well, lately the car has been shaking a little and the exhaust note gargles like a car with cams. The engine itself does not shake too bad and when i get on it hard, it will hesitate like something is blocking it from breathing. Today, the check engine light came on. Any suggestions on what it could be? Is it dangerous to drive, i want to take it to a tech but maybe its something i can check in my garage.

If it threw a code have it read to see what it is. The problem you are describing could be a number of things but the code could narrow it down.

I'd take to Autozone and get the code pulled. I would say offhand it could be many things, fuel filter, dirty maf, worn plugs, burnt wire, etc.. although most of these sans the maf thing don't usually cause MIL's.

fuel filter, plugs and wires are about 3years old. Not sure about bout the MAF. I am taking it to the tech tomorrow and he will pull the code and see whats wrong and fix it.

9-10 times a misfireon the mod motor is in the secondary ignition and plugs.
