Car idles like it has a Aftermarket cam in it.. when it doesnt.. HELP

my car is acting very funny i get alot of vibration thru the engine and it seems liek im not runnin on all cylinders at times.. and it idles like it has a cam?? i have no idea what would cause it?? need help

When did it start happening? Does it smell rich, is there a knocking sound, anything else you can tell us?

umm.. no knocking sound... i just put 2 new o2 sensors in it.. helpd it out.. but didnt fix the problem.. also my fuel pressure regulator went out.. so i put a new one in aswell.. it just gets alot of vibration.. and idles very messed up...

ha it runs fine then runs like ****... like all the cylinders will kick and then it will idle very low and then it will run like its not on all cylinders

Check your harmonic balancer to see if rubber is poking out in the front or back side or if it doesn't spin true at idle. If you see any of this kind of stuff....................................

DON'T drive the car any longer until you get it replaced as a bad one can do very bad things.

If you do a search on the hb you will see they are kind of a weak spot for our cars.

vacum leakk???

when we did my heads the egr was disconnected slightly and was sucking sooooooo much air and the car sounded like it had a 600 lift cam in it.

I'd vote for check your timing. When mine was off it idled like it was cammed out. I set the timing back (it was retarded if I remember right) then it idled perfectly again. But check that balancer too like somebody said, if it's spun, then your timing can't be set right until it's replaced. Good luck.

My Egr is disconnected... the dude who use to work on my car ****in cut it pinched it shut then welded it closed... it was a jewish move on his half but he goes"i gained u some more hp" n showd me what he did...

Thats Sucks a s s. I was going to vote for the harmonic balancer, I wouldn't think that anyone would do that, especially without saying anything about it before he did it. What an idiot.

the plugs and wires are brandnew.. but they may be ****ty i dunno.. im gettin too frustrated w/ this car. im about to swap it for an mr2 or put it up forsale

Then that leads me to belive your harmonic balancer is the culprit. Time to crawl under the car and see if the rubber is hanging out or whileing idleing it really wobbling.

clean the mass air as a precaution that made my car idle like it had a bit ass cam in it.. then check to see if any of the spark plug wires are burned or hardened those 2 culprits caused my cam like idle and my shaking
