Car is dead could it be the maf?

Ok, I have been trying to get my car running for the past 2 days. I have good spark and 40lb of fuel pressure, checked tps and everything else i could find in the tech book. I even swaped over another set of injectors. Right now my car will kind of start then just die. Could a bad maf do this?

did you pull the dizzy? mine was like that a few weeks ago when I went to start it for the first time, I was off a bit and the timing was all out of wack. is the optimizer hooked up right? I dont think the MAF has to much to do at cold startup. I may be wrong though.

was it running before and all of a sudden now it doesn't? or is it the new 306 in your sig?

After 2 days of messing with it it was the maf. Now it's up and running.

Nope, MAF can not cause a no start condition.. You dont even need the maf to have the car running, and idle.

Same thing happend to me and it was the MAF. The car would start and idle, but as soon as you touched the gas, the engine would hesitate and die. Replaced the MAF and it was as good as new.

My h-pipe had broken at the same time right by the o2. so i was allready having computer issues. I had to get it towed home on wed. All I know is that I went through everything and I still couldent find what was wrong. I was talking to a buddy and I said sometimes i could get it started but i had to kep the rpms above 1500-2000 and then it would just cut out. He had an extra maf he gave me and now it has never run better.

Edit: i just read the car actually starts, just dies out if you try to give it throttle.

Yea, a bad maf could very well do this.
Check to make sure its clean and the conections are good, and solid.
