my car is surging and dieing when it comes to a stop, im missing some low end torque, i ran codes and this is what i got 85,85,13,39,63,39,6

Theres something wrong with that order....when a computer puts out codes it shows them and then it shows them back to back, for ex. 23-33-58-66...then it repeats from backwards.....66-58-33-23 then has a seperator flash and does the same thing with the continous memory codes.

I see what you did wrong though....Your codes are 85 (active) and 33 and 96 (continous memory)......Between active and CM codes there is 1 seperator flash and u counted this a code(13) but its really not, just to distinguish between the 2 types of codes

BTW the computer gives out 2 different codes...Active codes (code present right now)....and Continous Memory codes (codes that were stored in the computer memory, meaning its not an active code right now but their was a fault with that at one time) ....I dont have my code book right now so i cant tell u what they are.... I prob just confused u though

lol just a little, so 85 would be an active code?

Yup...I just got my book code 85 is Canistor Purge Solenoid(AKA Charcoal Canister) Circuit Failure, it stores vapors from the gas tank and vents it into the intake (via front vacuum line off intake behind the alternator) during certain conditions...(off idle, cruising, low vacuum) im pretty sure anyway

Codes 33 is EGR valve not opening properly(or the sensor on the back of it isnt reading properly)
Code 96 is Fuel Pump Secondary Circuit fault....I have this code as CM too, im not too sure how to fix it though
If Jrichker stops in im sure he could explain it better.

Did it start stalling when the check engine light came on? I dont have a light (87) but im pretty sure ur year does though

Surging etc

What brand or style air filter? Does it have an open end? I found the open end caused my PROM meter to freak out at idle as it caused too much turbulence.
Duct taped the opening at end of filter and no more surge. I still have a stall occasionally that I am still working on.
