Alright guys. I'm going to go look for a new stang this weekend. Cant afford a cobra, so i'm gonna try to find a nice gt. So far ive found a black w. a silver stripe for $16, but its an 01 with 46k miles. Also, found a bullitt with same miles for same price. Should i go for bullitt or try to find something else? I know i can get 16k for my truck at the dealer with the black gt, but if the bullitt is available I think it would be a btter deal. Both cars are an 01. I need advice in what to look for in these cars and what not. Its been awhile since ive looked up close at cars and i dont wanna get screwed over again. Thanks

Look in the classifieds here and on other forums - you're missing alot of good cars if all you can find is an 01 for 16k.

Look on Carmax web site, just to get an idea of whats out there.
They ussually have a lot of stangs to compare, not saying you should buy from them.

Keep looking. I'm in California and our mustang resale is very high compared to the rest of the country.

I bought my '03 GT 5 speed with 30,000 miles for $14,800 late last year. You should be able to find a much better deal than an '01 with almost 50K for $16!!!

Good Luck,

Matt

P.S. KBB RETAIL value on an '01 with that mileage is $13,265, PRIVATE Party is closer to $11,000. F.Y.I

That GT is significantly overpriced, however the Bullitt may be worth it.

I would buy a car off of here or private seller, but i have to get rid of my truck and it seems that no one wants it. The bullitt sold about a month ago but they never updated their website, damn them. I'm going to keep looking for one, sooner or later one will pop up and ill get it.

01 F150 supercrew 4x4. Id love to have a cobra, but from what ive heard itd be just as bad if not worse on gas as my f150. If you wants pics i can give you the autotrader ad. Im asking alot more than i would accept hoping some rich kid would come along and like it and buy it real quick.

Here's the link for it. Ive been harassed several times for selling my mustang to get this truck, but at the time i needed it for work and since ive moved its time to step up to another stang. I really guess gas mileage isnt to big of a factor, im buying a friends honda crx off of him for the long trips to work everyday. Id really like to see 16k but i dont know if itd happen. Also, Do you have any pics of ur car and where are you by chance?

I've got some pics, but I can never get them on stangnet. Give me your email and I can email them to you. Your profile says you're in Centralia but the autotrader says Alton. I am actually from Brighton, IL and before that I lived in Vandalia, IL. In fact, my wife still has family there. I still live in Brighton, but have been working in Ohio for the past year or so. I'll be back in Brighton in a few weeks.

Just sent you an email. Who are your friends from Vandalia? How old are you? I'm 28 and most of the trouble I ever got in was in Vandalia. How those police have always loved my cars.

Oh, ok. I had to leave that place. It's just like every other small town... Everybody is always in everbody elses business. It's a good town to be from....As far from as you can get. Why'd you move to Alton? If you get another stang, I can introduce you to a lot of guys who spend a lot of time working on, racing, shining their stangs and of coarse, drinking alot of beer.

I moved to alton because centralia is a piss ass town that was going downhill and my g/f got a job as a nurse at the hospital over here. Makes double the pay over here than she would there so we left in a hurry. My brother lives in Alton so its nice to know some people. if/when i get another stang, it would be nice to meet some more guys that like racing and stuff like that, except for the drinking beer part. Since i am only 20, I dont drink. doesnt matter to much anyway, im allergic to something in beer and one drink puts me in the bathroom throwing up.
